Fly Me to Vietnam with Vietjet

Working in a multi-national company, I have the chance to meet people from everywhere in the World. Recently, some of my Vietnam colleagues from Ho Chi Minh City had shifted to base in Malaysia office. As a local, I invited them for lunch and take them around KL. In return, they also tell me stories and things happening in Vietnam.
It has come to my surprised that Vietnamese in the South prefer sweet, not spicy food and whereas in the central of Vietnam, they eat very spicy food. Hence we could their famous dishes like beef pho, bun cha (barbecued pork with rice noodles) and goi cuon(Vietnamese translucent spring roll) that taste from sweet, sour to spicy. Vietnamese is into coffee too, so as a coffee junkie I would surely grab a few of strong and flavourful Vietnamese coffee when I am there.

In fact, it’s a fun feeling when seeing the familiar Asian faces but speaking in English with Vietnamese accent. They are quite shy but very friendly, just like us! Some of the cities that I would visit if I gotten a chance to fly to Vietnam would be;

Hanoi
One must visit Hanoi as it is Vietnam’s capital city. It has undergone rapid transformations in recent decades. Considered one of the most beautiful of the colonial Indochinese cities, Hanoi is a combination of old-world charm and modern developments brought on by its recent surge in tourism.

We always see Hanoi in movies and reality show; the motorbike-filled streets look really amazing. Besides, I would love to visit its lovely parks and museums to streetside restaurants and world-class coffee. What’s more, Hanoi has 4 seasons in a year, and I would definitely visit it in Autumn and Spring.

Ha Long Bay
Ha Long Bay is another famous UNESCO World Heritage site. Located at about 170km east of Hanoi in northern Vietnam. “Ha Long” means “bay of descending dragons” and it is an archipelago made up of 1,969 islands.

At Ha Long Bay, we could enjoy Bai Chay tourist boats, budget and midrange cruises, or luxury cruises. The more adventurous at heart may also choose to kayak or take a seaplane for more panoramic views of its limestone islands.

Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) is the largest and most developed city in Vietnam. Commonly known as Saigon, It is often described as a vibrant, dynamic, highly energetic city that has everything a city traveller could hope for – from timeless temples to towering skyscrapers, classy restaurants to unassuming street stalls, the finest hotels to the cheapest guesthouses.

According to my colleague, HCMC has 2 seasons, which is hot or hotter. The people in HCMC is generally nice, friendly and helpful. So, HCMC is another must visit destination when it comes to Vietnam.

There are so many to explore in Vietnam. Now we know why Vietnam has been one of the favourite tourist destinations in Asia for so many years. It’s a country filled with breathtaking natural beauty, unique heritage, rich history and mouth-watering cuisine. Vietnam has a lot to offer any tourist who decides to visit her.
Furthermore, flying to Vietnam is fast and affordable. Vietjet, Vietnam’s new-age airline recently welcomed its first inaugural flight to Kuala Lumpur on 1st June 2016. With this, Vietjet is now in operation daily with flight duration of about one hour and 55 minutes.
The flights take off Kuala Lumpur at 1300hrs and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 1355hrs (local time). Returning flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 9:30 (local time) and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 1225hrs.

Known for their cheeky, innovative and imaginative activation activities, Vietjet is constantly finding ways to provide fun and friendly in-flight services for its passengers.

These are merely a tip of the iceberg when it comes to Vietnam’s diverse treasures. With the introduction of Vietjet’s maiden flight route from Kuala Lumpur to HCMC, now there are even more reasons why Vietnam should be the destination of your upcoming holiday.
