Laneige Malaysia Turns On the Tap for Minority Groups Across Rural Settlements in Malaysia

Living in the city, we are fortunate to have clean water easily. But, do you know that there are poor people who are still using dirty river water for their everyday life? The unsafe water has been threatening their life and health, hence they need clean and safe water. One easiest way for us to help them is participating Laneige Malaysia ‘Waterful Sharing Campaign’.

With the aim to provide access to clean water for orang asli communities in the country, this year marked the 3rd successful runs of Laneige Malaysia's ‘Waterful Sharing Campaign’. Since the launch of the campaign in May, the brand successfully raised RM100, 000 through the sale of its CSR Water Sleeping Mask, in which RM10 from the sales were directed towards the campaign fund. Laneige donated 30 units of Life Straw point-of-use community water filtration systems to facilitate clean drinking water for villagers & inculcate the importance of drinking good quality water for body & skin.

Laneige’s ‘Waterful Sharing Campaign’ 2017

Laneige Malaysia’s (Laneige) commitment to provide rural community with access to clean water is being manifested through its continued collaboration with Global Peace Foundation (GPF) to carry out the fourth installation of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, ‘Waterful Sharing Campaign’. In resuming 2016’s efforts, the beneficiaries of Kampung Binjai, Pahang and Kampung Ulu Geruntum, Perak, will receive an additional four (4) water filtration systems each, in addition to the previous installments; to aid the increasing demand for clean water in the village. Inclusive of this year’s chapter of the initiative, a total of 880 residents across FOUR (4) villages including the newly identified Kampung Padang, Pahang as well as Kampung Poh, Perak will benefit from this annual CSR campaign. 

LifeStraw® Community is a high-volume point-of-use water purifier with built-in safe storage that provides safe drinking water for community, educational and institutional settings.

“Presently, both communities in these villages are still deprived of provision to clean water for their daily livelihood, leaving them with the only option of consuming water from river or ponds. This in turn will result in the rise of waterborne diseases such as diarrhea and skin related problems. “Additionally, infants, young children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people whose immune systems are compromised, may be especially susceptible to illness from some contaminants present in their only source of water, ” explained Dr Teh Su Thye, Chief Executive Officer of GPF. 

The prearranged filtration system that is going to be installed in these villages will be a South Korean manufactured high-volume, point-of-use community water purifier with a built-in safe storage, which provides microbiologically safe drinking water for schools, health facilities, workplaces and community settings. 

This portable filtration system is also chemical free, further preventing the spread of waterborne diseases. The 50-litre tank with a 12L/hour filtration capability will ensure a continuous supply of clean water to the residents. 

This campaign will see Laneige raising RM100,000 through the sale of its ‘Refill Me’ Water Sleeping Mask which now comes in a new Lavender Scent for a limited time. Customers will receive a complimentary ‘Refill Me’ limited edition water bottle along with the purchase, in which RM10 from the sales will be directed towards the Laneige Waterful Sharing Campaign 2017 Fund to aid the installation of the 30 water filtration systems in the respective settlements.

[Review] LANEIGE BB Cushion_PoreControl

Living in a tropical country, with extremely hot and humid weather recently, I always struggle with my daily makeup. I am having oily combination skins for years and that has made my pores become super big and ugly. Though I could camouflage them with concealer and foundation but I don’t like to put on heavy makeup during normal day.

I received a LANEIGE BB Cushion_PoreControl during the launch of the new LANEIGE BB Cushion months ago. I am gratitude that LANEIGE has produced such an amazing product that could finally save our (oily skin people) life!

The new LANEIGE BB Cushion_PoreControl has been upgraded with technology to give us a whole day effect with just one application. Look at the newly opened LANEIGE BB Cushion_PoreControl, do you notice the moisture and watery texture here?

It’s easy to apply using the polyurethane puff applicator that was provided in the case. Laneige Beauty Road 2016 Featured Lee Sung-Kyung & The New Water Bank

It was a happening Friday noon at Mid Valley Megamall last Friday. We had visited Laneige Beauty Road 2016 that featured the popular South Korean actress Lee Sung-Kyung and the introduction of the New Lanaige Water Bank. 

For the second time after its debut in 2015 in Malaysia, The Laneige Beauty Road brings more than just K-beauty trends but also more excitement with the appearance of pretty + friendly Lee Sung-Kyung.

The Beauty Road was truly a fun-filled one with free giveaways, games, contests, cute water droplet mascots and a K-beauty experience area where one can learn everything one needs to know about K-beauty.
