1. Setting up your fridge smartly

3. Drink up your beverage

Fill up your pitcher with plain water and throw in some cut cucumber, lemons, limes or berries into it and store them into your fridge - infused water. A life hack to encourage drinking water and double up your H2O consumption. If you always keep a jug of chilled, fruity water handy in the fridge, you can easily get your daily dose of flavourful H2O.

You could also prepare few chilled plain water in the fridge by storing in a pitcher. It will be useful when the weather is hot or after workout. You will find your chilled water helps you to cool down your body from the heat.

i-City Expands Tourism Component with the Opening of it’s First Convention Centre

Congratulations to i-City for expanding its tourism component with the opening of it's first  Convention Centre on Sat, 17 Nov 2018. YB Tuan Muhammad Bakhtiar bin Wan Chik, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia was in i-City to officiate the grand opening of i-City Convention Centre @centralWalk.

According to Dato’ Eu Hong Chew, Deputy Chairman of I-Berhad, the i-City Convention Centre @centralWalk is part of the RM3.0 billion Tourism Master Plan for i-City to transform this part of the Klang Valley into a leisure, shopping, hospitality, medical tourism and a Meeting, Incentives, Conferencing & Exhibitions (MICE) destination.

“The opening of the first convention centre adjacent to the central i-City shopping centre is an important milestone for i-City as it marks our formal entry into the MICE sector. So far the focus on our tourism investment has been the leisure segment with the various rides and attractions in Leisure Park. With the opening of the convention centre, we now have the ability to package the convention centre, theme park and hotel for the MICE industry especially the incentives and events sub-segment.”

Owning a HDB Flat As a Single in 30s

At the age of 35 and single sounds like fabulous life to some. But in Singapore, it is big deal where adulting can finally happen, buying your first HDB flat! There’s no need to worry about being affordable for HDB rental anymore. Because the amount paid for HDB rental is equivalent to the monthly instalment paid or your own house. Singapore’s Housing Development Board has their set of eligibility for the singles and unmarried citizens when they reach 35 years old and above and individual Singaporeans who is widowed or orphaned who has reached 21 years old and above to purchase or own a HDB flat unit and must be Singaporean. Not even Permanent Resident (PR) status allows Singaporean to buy a brand new or first hand HDB flats across Singapore.

Now, you have passed the eligibility tests, here is the next step to HDB unit ownership, selecting the schemes as it may help you with the grants that you may apply to help you reduce your financial burden with grants and schemes. There are two types of schemes available for the singles which are Single Singapore Citizen Scheme and Joint Single Schemes, check here for more. There can be two to four co-applicants for HDB flat.

There are few scenarios why single prefer owning a HDB flat with other co-owners:

1) Two singles who are in a relationship may have plans to get married in the future. Hence, the HDB flat that they bought may become their matrimonial home in the future. Buying a flat together may be a better idea as opposed to buying two separate HDB flats, needing to sell off one should they get married.

2) The two (or more) singles may want to buy a HDB flat but are unable to afford it on their own. Hence, they pool their resources to buy it together.

3) The two singles may have plans to live together over the long-term but have no plans to get married or be unable to be (legally) married.

There are few crucial notes of HDB flat ownership structure you will need to know especially being single and buying it with another single. Well, the most common one would be through a joint tenancy agreement which also applies on survivorship. This shows that upon the demise either one of the owner, the ownership of the flat would be passed down to remaining owner or co-owners automatically. This joint tenancy agreement applies whether or not a valid will has or has not been left behind.

My girl and I had enjoyed our noon together at "Share Your Love with IJM Land Rimbayu" today. She brace herself in the horse riding, merry-go-round, mini choo choo train and mini pirate ship while I had been entertained with live make-up tutorial by Artistique, wedding gownds runway and the beautiful and dreamy wedding setups.

IJM LAND’s Bandar Rimbayu Presents Happy Family Day

The last weekend of May 2016 is here, how did you spent your Saturday today? Well, I and my girls had a fun filled day at the Happy Family Day at IJM LAND’s Bandar Rimbayu today.

This is our second time visited the greenery development area, nevertheless we still loving its spacious and eco-friendly environment.

This time, IJM LAND has presented the iLDA 2016(IJM LAND Designer Award 2016) at their Penduline showrooms in Bandar Rimbayu. Two uniquely designed showrooms prepared by two contestants are opened to the public to view and vote. Before entering the showroom, public could register at the registration area and get a token to vote. After viewing both showrooms, public could then drop the token in the box provided to vote.

Showroom A is 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms double Storey linked house that gives us a cool and trendy feel.

We felt a little hungry after visited the showrooms and hence we headed to the food stalls to fill our tummy before continue the exciting activities waiting ahead.  

My elder daughter can’t wait to play the zorb ball while eating. And she had played the zorb ball for the first time in her life at the Happy Family Day, she has enjoyed it so much and keep telling everyone about her fun experience.

Then we continue with the exciting 5D cinema. We were given a pair of 3D spectacle each to enjoy a fun cinematic experience with the hydraulic chairs, special smoke, wind and water droplets effects to give us a realistic experience.
