Beauty DIY Workshop @ The Touch, Commune at Sunway Velocity

So I have finally made my first visit to Sunway Velocity last month end, all thanks to the lovely invitation to the Beauty DIY Workshop at The Touch. Located at The Commune, Level 5, Sunway Velocity, The Touch is an all new Concept studio-academy-salon-retailer in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. With a 1500 sq feet premise, it is created to mesmerize clients with a total beauty experience, and to deliver the best image makeover experience.

A Healthy Achievement! Chewies Enters Malaysia Book of Records

Earth Hour 2017 @ Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur

Earth hour fell on last Saturday, 25th Mar 2017 from 8 to 9pm, have you joined the effort to protect our Earth? My parents always tell us not to play with water since we were kids. In fact, research shows that drowning is the 3rd leading cause of unintentional injury death worldwide, accounting for 7% of all injury-related deaths, and 1000 children died from drowning everyday across ASIA. As parents of two girls, I am concern on their safety when it comes to swimming. I let them swim because it is good exercise but I will monitor them whenever they are in the pool

This was what Bryan Yap told us during the CHEEKAABOO Workshop - Swimming Babies and Safety workshop happened at The Parenthood Sunway Pyramid West last Saturday, 18th Mar 2017. Bryan Yap is a Swim Educator with 23 years teaching experience for young children and educating young parents on kids' safety swimming. We were lucky to attend this workshop and learnt a lot from Bryan for free.
It’s important to get our baby used to water early in their life, as early as new born. Of course we are not talking about bring new born to swim but to build their confident in water. Such as telling baby ‘baby name, ready, here we go’ and pour the water on his head. After that, reward the baby with praise to form their confident to water.
From 6 months onwards, its time to send our kids to a swimming school. Parents have to check if the swim school is licensed and the swimming instructors are certified trainer. Its better to choose on ground swimming pool as it is warmer than the sky pool.

Sweaty, mind and physically challenging event like this helped me in so many ways therefore I want others to experience it as well. The event targets to gather all walks of life regardless whether they may or may not suffer from depression. You don’t need to be depressed to join the event. It is all about spreading the awareness that one should acknowledge the issue if they have it and seek help before it is too late”, said Fiona.
#IWillBeOkay Trail Hike was held on Saturday, 11th March 2017 at Taman Persekutuan Bukit Kiara.   Registration was closed at 36 confirmed participants, with 30 of them showed up at the event day and changed into #IWillBeOkay Trail Hike microfiber dry fit T-shirt in orange, while the crews were donning a green color T-shirt. Black Box Events, a sports event management company was engaged as technical consultant for the trail as well as to lead the pack through the entire hike. Participants were divided into two groups – running and hiking. Approximately 4km was covered in 1 hour 40 minutes.

UNIQLO Malaysia Launches Discovery Channel UT

The school holiday has started, it’s time to bring the kids out for fun experience together. I had great time at UNIQLO x Discovery Channel UT launch event at One Utama (in front of UNIQLO store, G floor Old Wing) just now. My daughters and I had certainly enjoyed our time together experiencing the VR, courtesy by UNIQLO Malaysia and Discovery Channel.

There’s 13 designs catering for kids in the inaugural collaboration between UNIQLO and Discovery Channel. The UNIQLO Discovery Channel UT features prints of animals, wildlife and space. Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon Turns One!

It has been a whole year since Sunway Lagoon introduced Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon (NLL), Asia’s first Nickelodeon branded attraction right in its own compound. Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon is our family’s most loved park in Sunway Lagoon as the rides are fun and excited. My kids and I can spend a whole day just at Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon itself.
From Sat, 18th March till Sun, 26th March 2017, Nickelodeon Lost Lagoon will take on a birthday party-like atmosphere, which the whole family will find truly extraordinary for nine days. Right from the time they step foot at the Main Entrance, visitors will be greeted by celebratory bubbles every morning from 10am to 10.30am. Once inside the park, there will be fun and games which everyone can look forward to including Colour Ball Bingo, Slime Dunk Tank and a Bubble Field.
Meanwhile, at the Explorer’s Campsite, there will be a daily Birthday Party from 3pm to 4pm where kids and the young at heart can experience and enjoy even more party games, face painting and temporary tattoos. My younger daughter is a loving and caring kid. Even at the young age of 4, she would always share her toys with her cousin sisters and even strangers. She loves to sing and dance, and she has recently learnt in reading poems too! Looking at her achievements at an early age, I feel very blessed as a mom.
