A Perfect Hotel Staycation
We have been staying at home most of the time for the past 1 year. While we used to travel at least once or twice each year, my kids have been getting really bored and I know it's time to plan for a family staycation at a hotel now. What my family likes about a hotel staycation is that we can enjoy every facility within the hotel boundaries and enjoy an intimate bonding time together. It’s a relaxation time to destress and receive more positive energy.
With the upcoming long weekend holiday in May, it's the best time to go for a staycation with our close family. We don’t have to go far, and I have chosen Hotel in Singapore for their good services, safety and cleanliness.
I have recently been attracted by Raffles Hotel, a luxury Colonial-style hotel located in the middle of downtown Singapore. The hotel is strategically located near to many Singapore spots like the Esplanade, City Hall and National Library. Built in the early 1830s, Raffles Hotel is one of the few remaining great 19th century hotels in the World. It has recently been restored and expanded to provide prestige services to its guests.
All the 115 suites in Raffles Hotel exudes elegance and timeless style. No wonder this lavish hotel has been the shooting location for a few films. From Crazy Rich Asians, Medal of Honor: Rising Sun to many other films. I always like to stay at heritage hotel like this because every corner of the building is a great spot to shoot beautiful pictures. I can transform myself from modern day to the olden day here in the hotel, and share my awesome pictures and video on my social media platform.
Apart from the beautiful architecture and decoration in the hotel, guests can also enjoy themselves at the newly opened bars, restaurants and boutiques at Raffles Business District. It’s all within a walking distance.
Oh, do you know that the famous Singapore Sling was first created in 1915 at Raffles Singapore by bartender Ngiam Tong Boon? It makes me even more excited to visit and stay here to enjoy my beloved cocktails - Singapore Sling at the Long Bar with my loved ones.

The Best Family Hotel @ Ipoh, Perak - Putrade Allsuites at RPGC
The fourth largest city in the country, Ipoh has been gaining steady recognition as a tourism destination in recent years. A confluence of factors – including the city’s deep-rooted colonial and cultural heritage, the abundance of natural attractions in and around Ipoh, as well as convenient tourist access enabled by its own international airport – has increased Ipoh’s allure and popularity with domestic and international travallers alike. The city’s tourism is expected to get a further boost as the Perak administration starts rolling out various initiatives under the ‘Visit Malaysia Year 2020’ campaign.
In supporting the ‘Visit Malaysia Year 2020’ campaign, I took the chance to bring my whole family to Ipoh, Perak for a visit-visit Malaysia weekend getaway. As a family of 2 parents and 2 young kids, we need more than a normal hotel room to cater our stay. Luckily, we have found the best family hotel Ipoh has to offers.

[Hotel Review] Sunway Putra Hotel KL
I remember my parents like to bring us to Yaohan at The Mall when we were kids. Back then, it's the best shopping mall in town. We used to play at the playground on the top floor of the shopping mall, and we had a lot of good memories there.
Now, the place was taken over by Sunway Group and refurbished to Sunway Putra Shopping Mall and Sunway Putra Hotel KL. After the completion of RM 123 million refurbished programme in 2016, Sunway Putra Hotel KL has opened it's door to it's guests. Like all the Sunway properties, Sunway Putra Hotel KL is located at the prime KL Diamond Triangle location that provides easy reach to the heart of KL.
We were excited for our first time staying at the 650-room 5-stars hotel - Sunway Putra Hotel KL. The hotel's lobby is located at 9th floor, alongside with the hotel's sprawling main lobby featuring a dramatic atrium dome with natural light shining through the prism-like design. It is a popular place for taking pictures.
The check-in process was smooth and the staffs are really friendly there. We were given the superior room that comes with complimentary Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, flat-screen LED Smart TV, a personal safe, and electric kettle. There is a sofa, coffee table and the working desk near to the window of the room too. We like the spacious, clean and quite room a lot.
[Hotel Review] Sunway Velocity Hotel KL
Born and raised in KL, one thing I enjoy to do with my family is hotel staycations. It's a great time for me and my family to get away from the home, and relax in the nice hotel room over the weekend. Hotel staycations have become my family's favourite moment especially my daughters because they can enjoy the hotels' facilities during the stay.
We were happy for our staycation at Sunway Velocity Hotel KL during the first week of Chinese New Year. We checked in to the superior room at Sunway Velocity Hotel KL for a 2 day 1 night stay. In fact, it was not the first time our family staying there. We like the hotel so much and we always want to go back for more. This time, the check-in and check-out process was fast and smooth as usual.
Sunway Velocity Hotel KL is strategically located in the middle of KL town, it is conveniently linked to Sunway Velocity Mall, office towers and serviced residences. We do not drive out once we have checked in because we could get almost everything we need at the Sunway Velocity Mall.
The hotel has 16 levels, and we stayed at level 14 this time. The superior room is not too big but it's just nice for my small family. It is furnished with contemporary-style decor, air-conditioning, flat-screen LED Smart TV, a personal safe and electric kettle. The en suite bathroom includes shower facilities, a hairdryer and free toiletries. I like the bright and clean room a lot. The bed was very comfortable, we had a good night sleep that night.

The Best Family Suite in Kuala Lumpur
As a mother of two lovely girls, I treasure the time we
spend together. During holidays, we love to go for a staycation with the whole
family because it’s the best time for bonding. However, it’s not easy to find a
hotel suite that can accommodate a family or 4 or more. It’s frustrated
especially when we are looking for a big space to stay in the heart of Kuala
Lumpur City Center. Well, worry no more coz we had a fantastic family
staycation last weekend.
Thanks to the wonderful invitation, my family and I got to stay
at the best family suite in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, at Pullman Kuala Lumpur City
Center Hotel & Residences (Pullman KLCC). Pullman KLCC recently completed a
revamp on its facilities for the residences, which include the 2-Bedroom Family
suite, Living Space (The exclusive lounge for residences) and The Zone (Play
area for fun, gaming and entertainment).
We love the strategic location of Pullman KLCC as it is just
a 2 minutes’ walk to Pavilion KL Shopping Center. There are also plenty of
complimentary car parks available for hotel guests (just use your room card to
access). The security is tight as the lifts are accessible by room card only.
Located at Jalan Conlay, the family suite at Pullman KLCC is
overlooking the Pavillion Shopping Centre. We checked into Room 1931, and we
love the fantastic view from the 19th floor. It’s lovely to watch the
people and cars passing by during the rush hour and the empty street in early
morning. We did not know it was such a strong contrast in the largest city of
Malaysia.
Pullman KLCC’s 2-Bedroom Family suite is very spacious (at 107
square metre). It is furnished with a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and 2
bathrooms. It’s perfect for a family of 4 to 5 for a holiday getaway. We love the bright and clean suite, it made us
feel so comfortable and feel like home!Designed to fascinate the children, the kids’ bedroom is decorated with colourful wallpapers, glowing stars, a bunk bed and filled with toys. There is also a Playstation and children’s books available in the room.
