Lemon Loaf Cake Recipe (Inspired by Starbucks)

Anyone here tried Starbucks’ Lemon Loaf before? I love it as it is Full of lemon flavor, moist, dense, and rich.
Since we are asked to stay at home, I thought why not we try to bake this lemon loaf at home? So here's the recipe I used to bake the Lemon Loaf Cake Recipe:

Ingredients

The Lemon Loaf Cake
1/2 cup butter (113 gram), room temperature
1 cup sugar (200 gram)
zest of 2 lemons
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs, room temperature
1 1/2 cup all purpose flour (195 gram)
1.5 tsp baking powder
0.5 tsp salt
1/2 cup buttermilk (120 gram)
2 tbsp lemon juice (about 0.5 lemon)

The Lemon Syrup
1/4 cup icing sugar (50 gram)
2 tbsp lemon juice

The Lemon Frosting
1 cup icing sugar (120 gram)
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp milk

Basque Burnt Cheesecake Recipe (as Good as Tokyo Restaurant)

Basque burnt cheesecake is so popular here in Malaysia especially after Tokyo Restaurant introduced it. Cheese lovers would surely love this soft, creamy and rich flavour cheesecake.
I used to bake quite a lot before married. However, I have stopped baking for awhile after becoming a mother. Since the Movement Control Order happening in Malaysia, I have picked up my old hobby and baked my first ever Basque burnt cheesecake for my family.
Surprisingly it is really easy and fast to make. We have chosen Anchor brand for their premium cheese and dairy products. The ingredients was so easy to get too, as we could just order from Bake with Yen.

浪漫土耳其之旅 Part 10

来到浪漫土耳其之旅最后一天了,我们带着依依不舍的心情踏上归程。
回到新加坡,又要和朋友告别了。他们飞回去槟城,我们飞回去吉隆坡。
我想在早上拍摄 Jewel,所以选了较迟的班机。可惜,原来 Jewel甚至vortex 早上是关闭的。所以我们便随便乱逛拍照后便飞回来吉隆坡了。
特别感谢好朋友规划这次的浪漫土耳其之旅。吃,喝,玩,乐全部都准备好了,让我们全程无忧地享受这次的旅行。土耳其每一个地方对我来说都是奇景,它比我想象中有趣,好玩。虽然旅程有几天是蛮累的,但是我真心喜欢这一次的自助旅行。当中我最喜欢所有小镇的风光明媚和热情的人。那些风土人情是城市里没有的。就如我生长于城市里,也不会对陌生人特别热情一样。不是无情,只是现实生活把我们磨练成冷酷的人。

这一天是 浪漫土耳其之旅的尾声了。我们选择在民宿附近的餐馆吃早餐后便去参观一直出现在伊斯坦堡景象的加拉達石塔(Galata Tower) 。
加拉達石塔初建于1348年,耸立在金角湾上。
登其顶上,可以远眺波斯普鲁斯海峡和金角湾。由于我们到达的时候还早,排了一会儿我们便买票登上加拉達石塔了。
走在塔外,我们看到伊斯坦堡城里的风景,还有海上的船只。塔外通道蛮狭小的,所以必须小心为妙。不久前就有游客跌下去塔外而死亡。在这里没有限制时间,所以我们逗留了一会儿才走。

浪漫土耳其之旅 Part 8

这一天在民宿里随便煮早餐吃饱后,我们搭有轨电车到加拉塔大橋(Galata Bridge)。这座桥全長約490公尺,橫跨金角灣(the Golden Horn)並鄰近博斯普魯斯海峽是 一座兩層式設計的橋樑。 上層規劃讓汽車、路面電車與行人通行,下層則為伊斯坦堡當地著名的小吃集散地點,橋樑中間 的部分則是活動式,可以打開讓船隻通行。
由于还早,我们看到很多钓鱼客在桥上钓鱼,还和一些人聊了起来。蛮开心的。

过后,我们便乘船去位于亚洲区的卡地科尔(Kadıköy)。 卡地科尔是土耳其的都市,在伊斯坦堡对面,博斯普鲁斯海峡的南端。

OLDMASTER New-Nanyang Coffee Kiosk @ 1 Utama Old Wing

Any coffee lover like me here? I am addicted to coffee for years. I need my cuppa of coffee everyday to make me feel good. I am happy to find out the new OLDMASTER New-Nanyang Coffee Kiosk at my favourite shopping mall - 1 Utama Shopping Centre's Old Wing recently.
The grand opening was held on a lovely Friday morning on 28 Feb 2020. According to the owner of OLDMASTER New-Nanyang Coffee, the name OLDMASTER is a word translated from Malaysia Minnan dialect called 'Lao Tao Qiu' which refers to a professional Master in an industry. Mr. Ng Ho Heap, the founder of Chuan Heong Coffee Mill started roasting Nanyang coffee beans since 1959 and is now considered one of Malaysia’s oldest and most experienced coffee roasting masters.
It is with this firm belief of delivering excellence that the father-son duo, Mr. Ng and his successor, Steve Ng in year of 2015 launched a proprietary specialty coffee brand in Chinese named as “老头手” has renamed as OLDMASTER New-Nanyang Coffee in 2019. In the following year, Mr. Ng Ho Heap has created own signature coffee - "Premium Gold Coffee" which has won a lot of recognition from the coffee lovers.
