Miss Global International Malaysia 2014 Pageant Week

August 7th – 17th 2014 marks the culmination of pageant festivities in Kuala Lumpur with the kick-off of the much-awaited Miss Global International Malaysia 2014 (MGIM 2014) pageant week, the first national competition in history to crown five coveted international titles in one competition. 
After a series of auditions and interviews that started since April across Malaysia, 19 beautiful finalist have been selected and will be vying for the coveted grand slam titles ‘Miss International’ and ‘Miss Supranational’, and three major titles ‘Miss Intercontinental’, ‘Miss Globe International’ and ‘World Miss University‘. These beautiful, talented and outspoken finalists come from all over Malaysia, namely Selangor, Sri Aman, Limbang, Miri, Kota Kinabalu, Kuching, Ipoh, Johor and Kuala Lumpur.
Organised by MerveilleuxM Production and Peoplegraphy Studio, co-organized by ZW Consultancy, MGIM 2014, in its fourth year running is aimed at empowering women, celebrating the beauty, diversity and culture among young Malaysian talents. During the pageant week, the finalists will be judged on their personality, beauty, communication and stage appearance by participating in various charity, tourism and educational activities leading up to the Grand Finale on 17th August at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel. The five title winners will then be representing Malaysia at the World Levels in the upcoming months.

“This marks a major milestone for MGIM as we started as the only national beauty pageant in East Malaysia and this year we wanted to raise the bar and bring it to greater heights to celebrate the beauty of Malaysia and its people with the crowning of a historic breakthrough five coveted international titles. We are excited to be the first competition to crown and send a representative for Malaysia to the Miss International and Miss Supranational pageant in Tokyo and Poland respectively,” said Marlene Lim, Managing Director of MerveilleuxM Production.
“MGIM is all about empowering women, building futures and inspiring a generation of independent and modern women. We want to celebrate real, outstanding women who are not afraid to be themselves and go the distance, stand for their beliefs whilst representing the epitome of elegant beauty, confidence and strong character,” Marlene added.
MGIM 2014 will be judged by a panel of renowned and respected veterans in the industry including Carol Lee (first Malaysian and Asian to win Mrs Universe 2013 in Aruba), Rahima Orchient Yayah (Miss Malaysia World 1994 Winner, Top 10 Miss World 1994) and Chris Tong (Mediacorp Artiste, Golden Awards 2014 Top 5 Best Actress, Miss Chinese Cosmos 2006). The rest of the judging panel will be revealed at the Grand Finale. The total winning cash and prizes are worth up to RM100,000.
Other sub-titles that will also be awarded during the pageant week are Miss Body Beautiful Strip, Miss Face Beautiful by MEME Clinic, Miss XES Elegant by XES Shoes, Miss Congeniality RedOne, Miss Popularity by Delirium Concept, Miss Photogenic by Peoplegraphy, Miss Talent by ZW Consultancy, Miss Charm International and many more.
The competition has supported many non-government organisations such as Persatuan Autistik Miri, Sunflower Centre, Miri Home for the Aged, Hospital Miri Children’s Ward and many more. Part of the proceed of this event will be channelled to non-governmental charity organisations.
