Pavilion KL, Malaysia’s premier shopping destination, has launched ‘Dream Diwali’ – an inspired Diwali campaign held from now until 14 November 2018, celebrating this year’s Festival of Lights. Inspired by the beauty, grace and magnificence of the peacock, the focal point of ‘Dream Diwali’ is a jaw-dropping, must-see ‘Dream Kolam’ at the mall’s Centre Court.
With the belief that Goddess Lakshmi only visits homes that are sparkling with beautiful kolams, the stunning ‘Dream Kolam’ spreads over 3,000 square feet, showcasing a magnificent, 20 feet tall peacock - an extravagant, vivid art piece infused with LED lights, made from fabric, foam and robust-coloured rice grains to create a stunning display. It showcases a unity of colours, representing good luck and prosperity.
Dream Diwali’ invites Malaysians and visitors of all races, nationalities, religions and ages to converge for a feast of the senses in the heart of Bukit Bintang, with vivid decorations, stunning performances and fabulous shopping deals. A highlight is a peacock-themed exhibition at the Spanish Steps until 11 November, featuring a special curation of peacock-themed pieces found at the mall, ranging from fashion, jewellery, home decor, beauty products, services and more.
The launch was attended by Guest of Honour H.E. Shri Mridul Kumar, Indian High Commissioner to Malaysia; his wife Mrs. Sumita Goyal; Dato’ Haslina binti Abdul Hamid, Deputy Secretary General (Tourism), Ministry to Tourism, Arts & Culture; Karen Low, Head of Cards Malaysia, Maybank; accompanied by Philip Ho, CEO of Pavilion REIT; Kung Suan Ai, Director of Marketing, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur and senior management of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
VIP guests launched ‘Dream Diwali’ in a symbolic lighting of 3 Lampe Berges lamps, releasing the scent of sandalwood, further evoking a fully sensorial experience before being treated to a unique peacock-themed hair show by Miko and A Cut Above and performances.

Maybank cardholders may redeem a limited edition peacock trinket box by spending a minimum of RM1,000 on a Maybank credit card. Intermark Mall
Delightful Diwali’ features kolam woven and knitted from naturally-dyed recycled fabric Intermark Mall brings a one-of-its-kind experience with its ‘Delightful Diwali’ festivities from now till 11 November 2018. Visitors can look forward to an unusual kolam, hand-woven from
naturally-dyed, recycled fabrics, in collaboration with Jaya Grocer and Raffles College of Higher Education Kuala Lumpur. This handcrafted artwork was created by 48 students over a duration of 8 weeks, using techniques such as weaving, finger knitting, finger loom braiding, tie-dyeing and shibori tie-dyeing. Visitors may also enjoy festive performances, redeem a vibrant print scarf or a festive mug when they spend RM300 or more, as well as enter an Instagram Contest to win prizes.

Da Men Mall
Kolam of Harmony’ at Da Men Mall Over at Da Men Mall, ‘Kolam of Harmony’ features a grand floral design of blossoming buds harmoniously blending tradition with a kaleidoscopic of colours at Main entrance and LG Entrances, warmly inviting and welcoming all visitors. Designed by SEGI College and INTI College students inspired by the colours and vibrant elements of Indian culture. Visitors to the mall were also able to witness the finishing touches being added to the kolam as part of the experiential journey with Da Men Mall.
