Kids From Beaconhouse Create Dessert Pizzas to Express Love for Mothers

Mother's Day 2019 is around the corner. As a mother of 2 girls, I am honoured to celebrate this day that is aim to honour motherhood with all mother around the World. In conjunction with this, Beaconhouse Newlands Early Years, Bangsar gathered preschoolers to design and create their very own Dessert Pizzas to gift to their mothers.
I was honoured to be invited to the special event on 3rd May 2019. Together with my blogger fellows, we witnessed the students worked together with their mom to customize their heart shape pizzas, using Pizza Crusted sponsored by Mission Foods and fruits, chocolate sauce and sprinkles. The pizzas was then packed in a gift box with personalised hand-written notes for the children to share with their mothers as Mother's Day gift.
In fact, Beaconhouse wanted to make this year's Mother's Day special in a way where children are able to get creative, have fun and at the same time teach them the importance of appreciating their mothers.
Speaking at the event, Kelly Robb, Head of Beaconhouse Newlands Early Years Bangsar, said “Mother's Day is a very special opportunity for all of us to celebrate and honour mothers for their never-ending sacrifices for their children and family. At Beaconhouse we place emphasis on family values. This activity is one of the ways we teach children to be expressive in the love for their mothers on Mother's Day and every day.”

Shop Preloved Goods From Japan at Jalan Jalan Japan @ M3 Mall

I am a Jalan Jalan Japan supporter since it's first opened in November 2016 at One City Sky Park, USJ. As a avid environmentalist, I support buying preloved goods. As recycling is very important as waste has a huge negative impact on the natural environment. So, rather than throwing things away, why not buy the unwanted items at very special price.
Jalan Jalan Japan sourced their preloved goods from Bookoff Corporation Japan. Hence the preloved items from Japan are usually very new and in good condition.
However, their outlets at One City, 1 Shamelin and CenterPoint, Seremban are quite far for me. Hence, when I know that Jalan Jalan Japan is going to open their number four outlet at M3 Mall, Gombak, I literally jump over joy. Yay, Jalan Jalan Japan has an outlet near my place finally!
When they invited us bloggers to pay a special visit last Saturday, I did not hesitate and RSVP myself to the special guest shopper party. We reached there early on that Saturday morning. We have met many other exciting bloggers and friends of Jalan Jalan Japan. Some of them even came all the way from Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Kajang and other places.

Beaconhouse Early Years' “Little Hands, Big Hearts” Charity Carnival

I was honoured to join Beaconhouse Early Years' “Little Hands, Big Hearts” Charity Carnival on a sunny Saturday 2 weeks ago. I believe that education should help children develop empathy for others and the ability to help people who are less fortunate than themselves. Hence, it is a good event where teachers kids, parents, family and friends gathered at Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School for a fun-filled day of activities and delicious food.
The “Little Hands, Big Hearts” Charity Carnival held in conjunction with Beaconhouse's family day is jointly organised by 8 of the Beaconhouse Malaysia Pre-schools across the Klang Valley. They took months in the making and all proceeds donated to University Malaya Medical Centre in benefit of treatment of child cancer and WWF Malaysia.
There were various activities held at the charity carnival including exciting performances by the students, fun and interactive game stalls, food stalls serving delicious local and International dishes, from nasi lemak, fried chicken, nyonya kuih to mac & cheese, there were many mouth-watering food at the carnival. Most excitingly, they had 3 rounds of lucky draws which rewarded the winners with children's scooters and bicycles. I did not won any prizes but my girl and I had a really good time there.
Commenting on the charity carnival, Mikel Liow, Senior Manager of Early Years Education, Beaconhouse, said, “It is through events such as today's Little Hands, Big Hearts Charity Carnival that we teach our students the vital importance of collaborating and contributing back to society and nature. We are truly proud of the effort all the young students, teachers and parents have contributed into making today's event a great success.”

Fight Modern Day Diseases with Theracurmin®

We all know that turmeric brings many benefits to our health. For example, studies have shown that it can switch off the main inflammatory activities in the body by blocking the protein complex knows as NF-kB.

However, this does not mean that by adding turmeric supplements into our daily diet can bring the desired results because turmeric, in its natural form, is not water soluble and has notoriously low absorption levels. Hence, Kordel's has introduced Theracurmin® Health Supplement.
Curcumin is the active ingredient of turmeric. It has been tested extensively and proven to have many health benefits to fight the modern day diseases. However, its potential has always been limited by its poor absorption and fast elimination from the body. Kordel’s Bio-Curmin contains Theracurmin® - with comprehensive human clinical research to prove the effectiveness, absorption and bioavailability of curcumin. Now, we can enjoy the great health benefits of curcumin even in small doses. Theracurmin® is the brand name for the active ingredient Curcuma longa extract.
Kordel’s Bio-Curmin (with patented Theracurmin®) is an innovative curcumin formulation with:
• Enhanced absorption up to 2700%
• Rapidly absorbed within 1 hour
• Stays in the body for as long as 24 hours
