Hada Labo Dialogue Session with Liu Yen & New Hada Labo Mild Peeling Lotion

Liu Yen 柳燕老师, one of the most well-known beauty experts in Taiwan has visited Malaysia last month. If you haven’t know Liu Yen yet, since her foray into the beauty industry as a skincare expert more than 10 years ago, the former beauty editor of an international Chinese language magazine has juggled many responsibilities, such as working with numerous high-profile beauty experts, notably Niu Er, and travelling around the world to share her knowledge. To date, she has travelled to countries like France, Australia, Japan, Malaysia and Korea to discover the beauty secrets each place has to offer.

Liu Yen is often invited to share her expertise in skincare via channels such as beauty expos, beauty workshops, brand launches, magazine interviews and TV shows. She’s also currently the resident beauty consultant of popular beauty-oriented Taiwanese TV programme, Queen (Nu Ren Wo Zui Da).

It was my great pleasure to meet Liu Yen personally at Hada Labo Dialogue Session
I’ve learnt quite a lot from her, fret not if you did not had the chance, because I’ll be sharing her tips with you here.
First of all, we discovered the well known Hada Labo Lotion.

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Moisturizing Lotion, RM49.90

Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Moisturizing Lotion
contains 3 types of Hyaluronic Acid to deeply moisturize skin and help preserve the skin’s optimum moisture balance. It replenishes and locks-in moisture for complete hydration, allowing skin to feel soft and supple.

Then, we were introduced the latest product from Hada Labo, the Mild Peeling Lotion.

Hada Labo Mild Peeling Lotion, 170 ml RM49.90
See your skin brighten up luminosity with Hada Labo’s Mild Peeling Lotion! This is a must-have product especially if you have dull and oily skin that is prone to acne. It is effective yet gentle on the skin.

The Hada Labo Mild Peeling Lotion has a unique formulation that does not only sloughs away dull skin and impurities but it also stimulates cell renewal. It delicately tighten up pores to prevent clogged pores and breakouts, minimizes the appearance of fine lines and improves skin elasticity and firmness. Besides that, it also has moisturising properties that deeply hydrates the skin, providing a natural radiant and beautiful matte skin. Gluconic Acid is an ingredient used in the formulation of this lotion. It is naturally found in fruits and honey. It works as a mild exfoliant to soften and remove the accumulated dead skin cells on the skin’s surface so that nutrients can be easily absorbed into the skin. This will also help improve the skin’s hydration resulting in smooth and supple skin.
Direction for use: Hada Labo Mild Peeling Lotion is recommended to be used daily with a cotton pad after your face wash. For better results, use the lotion with other Hada Labo skincare products.

The Hada Labo Mild Peeling Lotion is non-greasy, pH balanced and free from alcohol, colorant, fragrance, preservative, animal derivatives and mineral oil

One could also opt for Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion or Hada Labo Retinol Lifting + Firming Lotion for different purposes.

Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion, RM49.90

Hada Labo Arbutin Whitening Lotion contains Vitamin C that helps skin recover from accumulated sun damage while reducing the appearance of dark spots to give clearer and fairer skin. This lotion also contains Hyaluronic Acid to intensely hydrate the skin, keeping skin soft and supple.

Hada Labo Lifting + Firming Lotion, RM59.90
Instantly replenish moisture and hydrate your skin from within with the Hada Labo Retinol Lifting + Firming Lotion. This alcohol-free toner refreshes and tones skin texture with Retinol Vitamin A to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, collagen to improve skin’s elasticity for firmer and more lift in your skin and Super Hyaluronic Acid to instantly lock in moisture for intense hydration!

Hada Labo es Lotion, 59.90
The Hada Labo es Lotion instantly replenishes and locks-in skin’s natural moisture. It’s great for dry and dehydrated skin. Upon application, your skin will feel significantly softer and more supple.
During the demo, we learnt the technique on the product applications.
Don’t forget the back or ears when apply skin care products.

There were some games where Liu Yen tested us on our beauty knowledge. The winners won her latest beauty book, all the way from Taiwan. So, I’m going to share something that you might not know from the games.

First of all, if you choose to apply anti-aging, whitening and hydration serum, what would be the sequence if all of its texture is the same? Most of us would think that hydration, whitening and follow by anti-aging, right? But, the answer would be to first apply anti-aging, follow by whitening and lastly the hydration if all these serum has the same texture.

Secondly, if you are going to apply sunblock, hydration serum, Hada Labo perfect gel and Hada Labo hydration face cream, what would be the sequence? Now, since the perfect gel has lighter texture compared to the cream, hence the sequence is hydration serum -> Hada Labo perfect gel -> face cream and sunblock.

Interesting, isn’t it?
We enjoyed the hi tea before heading home with Hada Labo goodie. All of us was happy to meet Liu Yen. Thanks Hada Labo for organising such an awesome event!
These gonna be my morning skincare next month, stay tuned for my review then ;)
