AmHope by AmLife - A CSR-Driven Rehabilitation & Regenerative Centre

Renowned Sleep health specialist AmLife International marks its 10th anniversary celebration with the debut of its unique rehabilitation and regenerative centre driven by CSR recently.
AmHope is located at Lot No. B-G-03A & 05, Eight Kinrara, Block B, Jalan BK 5a/1, Bandar Kinrara, 47180 Puchong, Selangor

The United Nations has projected Malaysia to become an aged nation by 2030, with 15 % of the population comprising the elderly. As societal aging intensifies, healthcare costs rise, further increasing the burden on society. Therefore, the health status of seniors requires urgent attention.

Seniors face various age-related issues such as muscle loss (Sarcopenia), cardiovascular setbacks as well as stroke. Globally, 15 million people suffer from stroke each year. In Malaysia, degenerative diseases are on the rise, with stroke ranking as the third most common cause of death with an estimated 50,000 new stroke cases annually. Research indicates that up to 80% of strokes are preventable through lifestyle changes, including quality sleep and proper healthcare interventions.

The National Health and Morbidity Survey (NHMS) 2019 highlighted that individuals with insomnia have a 30% higher chance of developing cardiovascular issues, including stroke. Quality sleep is key to repair and regenerate the body, which would cushion cardiovascular and degenerative diseases.

Founder and President of AmLife Mr. Lew Mun Yee

During the grand opening of AmHope, a CSR-Driven rehabilitation & regenerative centre, the Founder and President of AmLife Mr. Lew Mun Yee shared that the company has helped countless people regain their health over the past decade through its sleep health education and healthcare solutions. “During this journey, we discovered that sleep disorders can affect cardiovascular health, thereby increasing the risk of stroke. Stroke is not just an individual problem; but one that cripples families physically and financially.

“To mark AmLife's 10th anniversary, we are investing RM1.4 million to establish AmHope – a rehabilitation and regenerative centre designed to help seniors overcome the challenges of stroke and other physical health issues, enabling them to live a dignified and quality life. AmHope represents a significant advancement in stroke rehabilitation and a beacon of hope for those facing these challenges.
I am impressed with the great CSR innitiative by AmLife International

The 90 days following a stroke are a critical period for brain recovery, and engaging in rehabilitation during this time significantly increases the chance of full recovery. Unfortunately, many stroke patients miss this crucial window due to financial constraints, resulting in lasting physical impairments. To address this issue, AmLife offers substantial financial aid to assist stroke patients facing such challenges. Patients who present a hospital medical report of their stroke can receive physiotherapy for only RM30 per session (normal market rate is RM150 per session). This 80% financial relief also applies to all equipment and high-function treatments at the centre.

Your Ideal Multigenerational Home Awaits!

Recent research by the Pew Research Center shows that the number of multigenerational households has increased by over 20% in the past decade. This trend is becoming more popular as families seek smarter ways to manage rising living costs. Beyond financial benefits, multigenerational living also fosters stronger family bonds, offering emotional support and a sense of togetherness that many modern families find invaluable.
My daughter and I at the TuJu Residence show unit.

I recently visited the TuJu Residences & Retail showroom at KL Duta North to see how this development could offer something special for families wanting to live together across generations. This project, the first by Distinctive World Sdn Bhd, is set to change the way people experience urban living in Kuala Lumpur.
TuJu Residences offers modern design and multigenerational living in KL Duta North.

The development is inspired by Piet Mondrian's famous Composition series of abstract art from the 1930s, and its stunning architectural design reflects this influence.

Set to become an iconic landmark, this 41-storey twin-tower development seamlessly combines commercial and residential units in a well-planned mixed-use space. It’s designed to meet the varied needs of modern families while fostering a lively, multigenerational community.

The name "TuJu," which means "direction" in Malay, symbolizes the vision of creating a functional and meaningful space for its residents. This commitment to building a connected and supportive multigenerational neighbourhood ensures that every resident feels engaged, supported, and empowered to thrive together.
To learn more about the development, I visited the TuJu Sales Gallery.

Sustainable Luxury

With a Gross Development Value (GDV) of RM750 million, TuJu Residences covers 4.52 acres and features 932 spacious and beautifully designed residential units, along with 38 retail spaces. The development consists of two blocks, each offering 466 units. Block B launched in March 2024, and Block A will follow in Q4 2024.
