The newly opened Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown officially launched its inaugural festive season with a spectacular tree-lighting ceremony. Marking the occasion on Thanksgiving Day, the hotel unveiled stunning holiday installations for guests to enjoy throughout the season.

Neurodivergent Creativity Take Centre Stage in CARiNG, Georgetown and Wellings Pharmacies’ 2026 Calendar

The 2026 calendar features 8 original artworks created by Zayn and Nafeesah each offering a sincere and imaginative interpretation of the world through the eyes of the two siblings. Their illustrations form the centre of the calendar’s theme, celebrating everyday moments, emotion and colour in ways that feel honest and expressive.

Zayn, who is autistic and high-functioning with ADHD, began drawing at the age of three. What started as simple sketches of buildings and hand-drawn maps soon grew into detailed illustrations that reflect his vivid, structured imagination. For him, each line drawn is a way to calm his busy mind and communicate how he experiences life from his own unique vantage point.

His sister, Nafeesah, who lives with dyslexia and ADHD, has always been drawn to bright colours and joyful imagery. Art has become her way to unwind after long days, with her pieces filled with whimsical buildings, playful scenes and “happy hues”, as her family describes them. Her illustrations carry her belief that life should be embraced with lightness and fun.

BIG CARiNG Group, Malaysia’s largest pharmacy chain comprising BIG Pharmacy, CARiNG Pharmacy, Georgetown Pharmacy, Ting Pharmacy and Wellings Pharmacy signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Rotary Club of Kuala Lumpur DiRaja (RCKL DiRaja) and the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) to join RCKL DiRaja’s Project Blue Dot, an initiative to expand access to early screening and detection of prostate cancer for Malaysian men, especially those from B40 community and high risk groups.


The MOU was signed by Mr. Chong Yeow Siang, Chief Operating Officer of BIG CARiNG Group, Dato’ Dr. Prakash Rao, President of RCKL DiRaja and Dato’ Dr. Saunthari Somasundaram, President of NCSM.

The story follows He Yuting, a young woman who has sworn off love and returned to her hometown to run a guesthouse. Just before Chinese New Year’s Eve, her ex-boyfriend Wang Jingsheng turns up with an expired accommodation voucher, hoping to enjoy free food and lodging. Upset, Yuting makes him “work off his stay”, setting the stage for a light-hearted yet touching reunion filled with playful banter, second chances, and rediscovered feelings.

In an understated yet exquisite setting at ENSO Izakaya & Bar within Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur at KL Midtown, HEAVENSAKE made its Malaysia debut with quiet elegance. A handpicked guest list of media, sommerliers, and tastemakers gathered for an intimate, chic soiree that blended conversation, craft, and culture in perfect balance.


Hosted by K2 Marketing Sdn Bhd, the exclusive distributor of HEAVENSAKE in Malaysia, the afternoon unfloded in the presence of Joshua Kalinan, HEAVENSAKE's Regional Ambassador for Southeast Asia and 2018 Sake Sommelier of the Year. All the guests were guided through refined journey through Franco-Japanese artistry, where sake meets the spirit of Champagne.


A Toast to Balance and Beauty

Co-created in 2017 by Swiss entrepreneur Carl Hirschmann and French cellar-master Régis Camus (famed in the Champagne world); HEAVENSAKE became the first Sake in the World conceived by renowned Champagne maker.

Designed for the modern Western palate & cuisine each HEAVENSAKE blend is all-natural: crafted with no added distilled alcohol, sugar, sulfites, gluten, or addictives, and remarkably three times less acidic than wine.

Camus, an eight-time Winemaker of the Year, applied the assemblage technique (a method used to blend fine Champagnes) to the centuries-old art of sake-making. The result is sake reimagined: pure, modern, and efforlessly refined.

"HEAVENSAKE is more than a drink. It's an emotion, it captures harmony, precision, and purity, expressed in the language of both Japan and France," Kalinan shared during the tasting.

The soiree unfolded as a journey through taste and terroir, where guests were guided through HEAVENSAKE's four distinctive expression, each a poetic meeting of French precision and Japanese mastery.

The agreement marks a major milestone for the home-grown brand as it builds a national presence and sets its sights on international growth.

Suria KLCC: A Luminous Garden of Light

At the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Suria KLCC’s Centre Court transforms into a breathtaking setting inspired by the elegance of the lotus flower. The centrepiece will be a giant illuminated lotus surrounded by kolam and interactive lights, complemented by two multi-layer lotus shaped kolam on the side and giant lotus arches at the back for photo opportunities. Traditional Bharatanatyam dance performances will be featured throughout the campaign, along with a special Henna Workshop on Deepavali day, 20 October 2025.
