Everyone wants a firm and youthful skin, isn’t it? In order to achieve this, skin doctor has recommended Microdermabrasion treatment as it is a non-chemical and non-invasive procedure to remove the outermost layer of dry, dead skin cells and reveal younger, healthier-looking skin. Microdermabrasion also encourages the production of a new underlying layer of skin cells with higher levels of collagen and elastin, which further improves one skin’s appearance.
However, it cost a lot for us to go to the clinic for Microdermabrasion treatments as it takes a several treatments to see the result. Plus the time and effort to visit the clinic, it is really inconvenient for working lady like me. But don’t worry, here comes the Good news, we can indeed do it ourselves with Philips VisaCare Microdermabrasion at home, yay!
Philips VisaCare Microdermabrasion was launched last year, and I am happy to finally give it a try. First of all, the Philips VisaCare Microdermabrasion is in beautiful white and gold color, it looks really elegant and luxury, and I feel so good to use it. The device’s design is sleek and easy to grab, made it easy to move the tip across my face while holding it.
Philips VisaCare Microdermabrasion is developed with expert scientists and dermatologists, and combine the DualAction Air Lift & Exfoliation System functions to give us firmer feeling, more youthful looking skin.
The Air Lift System gently stimulates microcirculation. The vacuum massage intensively stimulates microcirculation that is gently lifted and streched our Skin, massaging its deeper layers. Blood flow increases, bringing oxgen and nutrients to the surface. For a revitalized look. VisaCare is designed to be in the sweetspot of stretch required to stimulate collagen and elastin production.
Whilte the exfoliating tip stimulates the cell renewal process. The exfoliating tip gently removes part of the stratum corneum (the upper layer of the skin) and thickens the epidermis (the second layer of the skin) unveiling skin that feels smoother and looks radiant. It gently nudges away roughness and flakiness more effectively and controlled than manually possible.
There are 2 tips available: Sensitive and Normal tip. Every users are encourage to start with the Sensitive tip.
Before I use Philips VisaCare Microdermabrasion for the first time, I have tested the tip on my forearm to see if my skin reacted OK to it. The redness was gone after approximately an hour which means it’s safe to use on my skin.
So, I cleanses my face with Philips VisaPure Advanced, and let my face dry before pressed the ON button on Philips VisaCare Microdermabrasion. It is important to use Philips VisaCare Microdermabrasion on dry skin only.
I started to gently move the tip on my face followed the instructions. You can refer to the illustration below on how to use the device on facial zones.
I spent around 5 minutes to treat the whole face. My skin were temporarily pink but fully recovers within a few hours. I like how clean my face is after removing the dead skin cells, I was amazed to touch my smoother skin, and to see that my skin gets fairer, my fine lines has reduced in just one treatment. The best part is, the whole process was smooth and no pain at all.
Lastly, I applied a nourishing mask, and face cream to rejuvenate my skin after the process. It is recommended as the Microdermabrasion process has removed dead skin cells, allowing for natural cell renewal and its the best time to absorb the nutrients in our skincare.
I clean the tip under running water after every use for hygience purpose. Once it’s dry, I store them in the pouch to prevent the tip from damaged.
