Italy's eTomAato Campaign Brings Premium European Tomatoes to Malaysia

Good news to Malaysian, we can now enjoy premium European tomatoes here too! Thanks to Italy for launching the eTomAato campaign. The eTomAato: European Tomato, A Red Passion, is a comprehensive campaign recently introduced at the 18th edition of the Food & Hospitality Malaysia (FHM) 2025 exhibition at KLCC Convention Centre recently.
The Embassy of Italy in Kuala Lumpur and Italian Trade Agency (ITA), working with OI Pomodoro da Industria Bacino Centro Sud Italia and backed by the European Union, introduced this two-year initiative designed to showcase premium Italian tomato products to Malaysian consumers, restaurants, and food manufacturers.
eTomAato represents more than 70 Italian tomato producers and aims to establish European tomatoes as the premium choice in Malaysia’s growing food and beverage sector. The campaign will introduce Malaysian consumers to authentic Mediterranean flavours while demonstrating the superior safety standards, traceability, and sustainability practices that define European tomato production.

Dr. Angela Donvito, Trade Commissioner of the Italian Trade Agency and Francesco Pezzarossi, Second Secretary of the Embassy of Italy in Kuala Lumpur, officially introduced the campaign to Malaysia, which has expanded to neighbouring countries such as Thailand and Singapore. Their presence highlighted the strategic importance of strengthening agricultural and food trade relationships between the European Union and Malaysia.

“eTomAato bridges the gap between Europe’s centuries-old tomato heritage and Asia’s dynamic culinary innovation,” explained Dr. Angela Donvito.

“We’re providing Malaysian chefs, food manufacturers, and consumers with ingredients that meet the highest international standards while inspiring new culinary possibilities. This campaign represents our commitment to long-term partnerships that benefit both regions’ food industries.”

Malaysia Day's Festival: A Community Gathering with PUBG MOBILE & MASDO

As we celebrate the 62nd Malaysia Day, PUBG MOBILEMalaysia's own retro-rock heroes, MASDO hosted an exclusive community gathering at PADDOCK PJ on 14 Sep 2025. Themed "Perang Suara", the event held just two days before Malaysia Day. It was an extraordinary high-octane mash-up that seamlessly brought together the thrilling world of gaming and the infectious rhythm of live music for an unforgettable night of celebration.

From the moment doors opened, the venue was buzzing with excitement. Fans from both the gaming and music communities dived into the interactive event lineup. The PUBG MOBILE WOW Funmatch was a crowd favorite, giving attendees the chance to explore five unique in-game maps crafted by local creators in World of Wonder, while taking part in a friendly competition to see who could come out on top.

The excitement continued with a hilarious and highly competitive Karaoke Challenge, where brave fans took to the stage to belt out their favorite tunes, with MASDO’s members judging their performances and cheering them on. The entire evening was a testament to the vibrant and passionate communities that have been built around the game and the band.

The night's climax was MASDO's explosive live performance. The band had the entire venue rocking to their signature hits. The crowd’s reaction was incredible, proving that this partnership was more than just a collaboration—it was a true celebration of shared passions. A particularly special moment came with the live performance of "Setia Bersamamu," their second collaboration song with PUBG MOBILE. As the crowd sang along, it marked the first and final time they would get to hear the song performed live, making the moment a truly historic and unforgettable highlight of the partnership.

In conjunction with the upcoming World Heart Day, Bridges M&C organized an expert panel media discussion titled “Don’t Miss a Beat: Breakthroughs in Cardiac Care” recently.

Supported by Elixir Medical Corporation and CVSKL - Cardiac Vascular Sentral Kuala Lumpur, the session featured leading consultant cardiologists Dato’ Dr Tamil Selvan Muthusamy and Datuk Dr Rosli Mohd Ali who shared important insights on the growing prevalence of coronary artery disease (CAD) among younger Malaysians, a worrying trend that calls for greater awareness and timely intervention.

The session also highlighted the latest innovations in interventional cardiology, the bioadaptor and intravascular lithotripsy (IVL) system, both of which represent significant progress over the years in helping patients achieve better outcomes and an improved quality of life.

Read on for the highlights from the insightful session:

Question 1. In 2022, CAD was the leading cause of medically certified deaths in Malaysia (16.1% or 20,322 deaths)[1]. Can you tell us more about what is CAD and why is it happening among the younger population in Malaysia?

Dato’ Dr Tamil Selvan Muthusamy: The heart muscle is like a pump, and it needs blood supply. The heart muscle in itself contains a huge amount of blood every minute, about five litres of blood. For it to work, it doesn’t get its blood supply from its inner chambers but through three tiny arteries which arise from the big vessel called the aortas. These supply the oxygen and nutrients required for the heart muscle to work, much like any other organ.

Thousands of Years Media (ToYm) Raises the Stakes in Malaysia’s Micro Drama Scene

Good news to the local entertainment industry! Thousands of Years Media (ToYm), the visionary company founded by Datuk Wira Jment Lim, who also established SunStrong Entertainment, is once again making waves in Malaysia’s entertainment industry with the launch of its latest Mandarin micro drama, namely "Reborn and Revenge".

In fact, ToYm has been pioneering the micro drama format in Malaysia since March 2025. It creates a fresh advertising niche that seamlessly integrates storytelling with brand partnerships. Its debut production, "In Character", the first locally produced Chinese micro drama in Malaysia, had achieved a phenomenal traction, recording 15.1 million views for the Chinese version and 10 million views for the Malay-dubbed version.

Building on this momentum, production for Reborn and Revenge began on 2 September 2025, with the official launch slated for November 2025. After the release, ToYm will begin filming its first Malay-language micro drama, reinforcing its commitment to representing Malaysia’s multicultural audience.

Reborn and Revenge tells the story of Lin Xiyun, a woman neglected by her family and betrayed by her stepmother and sister. After meeting a tragic death, she is mysteriously reborn and witnesses the downfall of her fiancé, Gu Tingfeng. Armed with a second chance at life, she vows to reclaim her dignity and deliver justice to those who wronged her. This production builds on the female empowerment themes explored in In Character, but pushes into darker, high-stakes territory — blending suspense, betrayal, and redemption into a sharp, fast-paced narrative designed to captivate audiences.
