Taiwan Expo 2018 – Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion

Taiwan's best Healthcare practices and innovations was showcased for the first time in Malaysia at Taiwan Expo 2018 – Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion recently. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for visitors to see and experience for themselves the best healthcare practices and innovations by Taiwan's top medical personalities and institutions. There were nine medical services and healthcare providers exhibited in the pavilion, each one promoting their own specialty many of which are presented for the first time in Malaysia.
Taiwan Expo 2018 happened from 25 Oct to 27 Oct 2018 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC). The admission was free to all visitors. Let's look into some of the highlights of Taiwan Healthcare Pavilion at Taiwan Expo 2018 included below;
Chang Gung Memorial Hospital - the advanced Percutaneous Radiofrequency Therapy by the highly regarded Prof. Dr. Jen-Tsung Yang, Vice Superintendent at the Chiayi branch of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. Dr. Yang has shared his research and thought processes behind the invention of the therapy. Using high-tech facilities of intraoperative CT, MRI and navigation system, the therapy allows doctors to administer treatment quickly and precisely at the target location without generating a wound. Chang Gung Memorial Hospital is the World's largest medical group with seven branches in Taiwan. It is one of the only two hospitals in SEA providing Proton Therapy treatment using the advance medical technique of radiation therapy to treat cancer. The other countries that are providing Proton Therapy treatment are Japan, Taiwan, Korea and the USA.

There was a Health Check Experience Zone at the pavilion for visitor to learn more about their health and wellbeing. Experts were there to share valuable information for visitors to better manage their health.
Themed “Medical Services and Technology”, the pavilion serves as the opportune event for visitors to immerse themselves in healthcare's latest technology trends featuring the latest medical findings, the most updated devices, and other exciting new technologies that will shift the dynamics of how things are normally done in the medical and healthcare sectors.

There were many forums on Medical training in Taiwan conducted during the Taiwan Expo 2018. At the end of the day, visitors walked away with added knowledge on the latest medical innovations and first-hand experience how some of the advanced innovations work to help improve the quality of life.
