My L’Oreal Professionnel Steampod Experience at A Cut Above Bangsar Village 2

Rapunzel’s hair style is one of the favorite amongst girls, including me. In order to look like her, I straighten my hair 2 years ago, and I have been keeping the same hair style since then because it looks good. Moreover, it is easier to manage compared with curly hair. Although my hair look very healthy, thick and long, but they are indeed coarse and frizzy. I hate my unmanageable hair because they always tangled when comb.

Hence, when L’Oreal Professionnel offered me a chance to review the infamous Steampod service at A Cut Above Bangsar Village 2, I said yes immediately.

L’Oréal Professionnel and Rowenta Salon Electricals introduce their innovative in-salon straightening and smoothing service: Steampod which is designed for sleek results on a variety of styles with a beautiful, shiny-looking finish last year.

Steampod is the world’s first hair smoothing iron that delivers a continuous stream of pressurized steam from an in-built steam generator. This is a new, effective and long-lasting steam-activated straightening treatment. The steam gently opens up the hair cuticle, progressively warming up the fiber to prevent heat shock. The repairing treatment is then delivered to the core of the fiber, the cuticle is smoothed and the ends are sealed for a flawless finish – and the transformation is immediately visible. The best part? No burnt hair look here unlike in regular straightening treatments!

When I stepped into A Cut Above at Bangsar Village 2, I was offered a seat immediately and drinks from Chinese tea to coffee etc. As I’m a coffee addict of course I’ve chosen a cup of coffee.

Then the hairstylist, Ben came and greeted me with his junior stylists. He then checked my hair and suggested me to do L’Oreal Professionnel Steam Smoothing Service which gives an anti-frizz smoothing effect that can last up to 3 days.

Furthermore, with continuous use with L’Oreal Professionnel X-tenso Care, hair fiber is reconstructed from the inside out, preventing it from breakage and dryness.

The treatment last for around 1.5 hours with;

1.) Wash my hair with the X-Tenso Care Nutri-Reconstructor Shampoo with anti-dryness action, gently cleans chemically straightened hair, respecting the fiber integrity.

I really like the shampoo as it's silky smooth and easy to lather. PLUS it has a very nice scent!

2.) Apply X-Tenso Care Nutri-Reconstructor Pre-Treatment which acts as a capillary force injection to protect the chemically treated hair before reapplying X-Tenso Moisturist.

3.) Straighten hair using Steampod at heat 220 degree Celsius.

4.) Apply X-Tenso Care Nutri-Reconstructor Masque by gently massage from lengths to tips. Leave for a couple of minutes and rinse off thoroughly. This masque deeplu nourished and restores the chemically straightened hair.

Lastly, blow dry hair and apply a couple of drops of X-Tenso Care Nutri-Reconstructor Serum as finish. It prevent fly-aways and provide additional shine.

The result? I have Beautifully sleek and manageable hair immediately after the treatment. I like that my hair is now smooth, soft and anti-frizz. I’ve washed my hair a few times using L’OREAL Professionnel X-Tenso Care Straight Range after the treatment at home, and guess what, the effect is still there. My hair is not only looking glamorous but they are actually healthy too!
